There’s something about seeing a big top standing proud in a field. It announces to all who pass that the circus is in town; an event for the whole family to enjoy.
Step inside and you will be treated to a spectacle of sound, light and colour. The Ringmaster, in his top hat and tails, holds everything together; dancers show off their flashy steps, the ubiquitous clown entertains the audience with slapstick comedy, and acrobats perform gravity defying stunts that will see you clinging to the edge of your seat.

Here’s a few photos to give you a taster, but for the true circus experience I would highly recommend you schedule a visit. It’s a great way to entertain the children this Easter. Even Tall Boy was captivated by the performers – for a little while!

See Gandeys Circus for yourself at Buile Hill Park in Salford until 17 April. Tickets are available online or from the box office on site. The big top will also be setting up in Knutsford from 20-23 April and Leigh from 6-13 May.
I was given tickets to Gandeys Circus in return for a review. Views are, as always, my own.
